The distinctive Howard Miller Mercer Floor Clock boasts an elaborate iron framework in Charcoal Black accented with a hand-rubbed gold finish on the delicate leaves and metal bands. A hinged-top door allows easy access to the clock hands for setting the time and installing the batteries and pendulum. A removable crown adorns the top.The illuminated aged black dial features an antique-gold crackled background and Arabic numerals with spade hands finished in antique gold. The open-case design houses the pendulum which sports carved details to match the case and the hinged-top door. A glass crystal protects the dial in the top door.This stylish clock features a quartz dual-chime movement which plays Westminster chimes or "Ave Maria" and features volume control and automatic nighttime shut-off option. Adjustable levelers under each corner of the clock ensure stability on uneven and carpeted floors. Requires two C-size batteries for the clock movement and one D-size battery for the pendulum swing mechanism (batteries not included).
